Arranging a funeral can feel overwhelming, especially at such an emotional time.
My role is to support you throughout the process, helping to create a meaningful and personal ceremony that truly reflects the life of your loved one.
Here is what you can expect when working with me:
Step 1: Initial Contact
You are welcome to get in touch in whatever way feels easiest for you — by phone, email, or through my contact form.
We can have a relaxed, no-pressure conversation about your wishes, and I can answer any questions you may have.
Step 2: Getting to Know You and Your Wishes
I will arrange a time to meet with you, either in person or online. You decide what works for you, for instance, we could meet in a coffee shop, at your home, or over a video call.
This is an opportunity for you to share memories, stories, and your loved one's full personality. There is no rush, and you can take your time. I will be there to listen and guide you.
Step 3: Creating the Ceremony
Using everything you have shared, I will carefully write a personalised ceremony according to your wishes.
This may include a tribute, music suggestions, readings, and moments for reflection. The ceremony will be tailored to reflect your loved one’s life in a way that feels right for you. As an independent celebrant, I am not affiliated with any religion, so I can provide total flexibility. I can include religious elements (such as hymns) or the service can be non-religious.
Step 4: Reviewing Together
I will send you a draft of the ceremony for you to read in your own time.
You are welcome to make any changes, additions, or adjustments. We will work together until everything feels right for you.
Step 5: The Day of the Ceremony
On the day, I will arrive in good time and liaise with the funeral director to ensure everything runs smoothly.
I will lead the ceremony with care, warmth, and professionalism, allowing you to focus on remembering your loved one.
Step 6: After the Service
If you would like, I can provide you with a copy of the ceremony script as a keepsake.
I am also here for any further support you may need.
